History / Philosophy

Administration includes Janet George, Fellow/AOGPE, Head of School and Principal, Mary Ragsdale, Lower School Division Head, and Kristi Harris, Upper School Division Head. The teaching staff includes licensed classroom teachers, an art specialist, and Orton-Gillingham Practitioners. Attainment of certification from the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators is a requirement for all classroom teachers and tutors.

Hutson School Board members are active and supportive of the mission of Hutson. The Trustee's leadership is strengthened by their diverse professional backgrounds, including business, finance, foundation development, and medicine. The Board will continue to serve a vital role as the school grows.
